The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ September 10. 2005 12:00AM Edward Ledet Edward Joseph "Lil Miller" Ledet Sr., 62, a native of Lockport and resident of Bayou Gauche, died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marlene Hebert Ledet; one son, Edward J. "Joe" Ledet Jr.; two daughters, Donna L. Reagan and Rachel L. Cortez; one brother, Houston Ledet; two sisters, Betty L. Ordoyne and Clara L. Gros; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, Belle Anne Ledet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Emelda Matherne Ledet; and two brothers, Steven and Urie Ledet. He was Catholic and an avid truck driver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for funeral expenses are preferred. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
