In the days following huricane Katrina a joint Courier/Daily Comet newspaper was 
published using the Comet presses while the New Orleans Times Picayune  was 
published from the Courier presses.

Eldora Farlow

   Eldora Hester Farlow, 81, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 8:45 
a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2005.

  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Bell Baptist Church 
in Raceland.  Religious serve will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

   She is survived by three daughters, Martha Jones Robinson and Barbara Hester 
Bradley of Raceland and Eldora Jones Trosclair of Houma; one son, Samuel Farlow 
of Cameron, S. C.; one sister Oliska Hester of Raceland; 12 grandchildren; and 
10 great grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Farlow Sr., her parents 
Samuel and Olevia Hester; one son, Joseph Farlow Jr.; one sister Hattie 
Anderson; and one brother, Milton Hester.

  She was a member of Bell Baptist Church.
