Melvin Braud

Melvin Paul Braud, 68, a native and resident of Houma, died at 1:14 p.m. Sept. 
26, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A Mass of 
Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home 
chapel, with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 1 Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Norene Rose Braud of Houma; son Mehl Paul Braud of 
Lake Arthur; daughter Lisa Braud Arcement of Houma; brothers Larry, Richard, 
E.J., Donnie and Bert Braud; sister Judy Braud Callais; two grandchildren; and 
one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Joseph and Julia Bergeron Braud; 
grandparents Edward and Nellie Boudreaux Braud, Wilfred and Alice Hebert 
Bergeron.

He was manager of Coburns Supply for 45 years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Houma Jaycees.

He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
