Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Clara Ann LeJeune Ripp Daigle of Harvey; sons and daughters-in-law Jessie and Danis Kenny Daigle of Baton Rouge, Herbert and Faye Messmer Daigle of Marrero; daughters and sons-in-law Anna Marie and James Gardner of Terrytown, Odessa and Lucien Terrebonne of Marrero; Frances and Jesse Touro of Harvey; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law Chris Ripp of McCaysville, Ga., Marvin and Lisa Ripp of Marrero; stepdaughter and stepson-in- law Mary and Dwayne LeBlanc of Crown Point; eight grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years, Lena Josephine Samanie Daigle; parents, Elphege Joseph Daigle and Ann Angeline Guidry Daigle; grandson Donn Emory Gardner; brothers Joseph, Edley Sr., Herbert and Wilbert Daigle; half-brothers Shelly, Henry and Charles Daigle; sister, Nellie Caro; half- sisters, Philomene Daigle, Magnolia D. Sear, Alida D. Thiodeaux, Ozia D. Sonnier and Mathilda D. Bergeron. He was a parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Harvey He was a former member of the Woodmen of the World. He was a retired Texaco employee with 40 years of service.
