Paul Haydel Jr.

Paul Victorian Haydel Jr., 74, a native and resident of Houma, died at 5:25 p.m. 
Sept. 21, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home. A Mass of 
Christian burial wil be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel, 
with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Nancy Tucker Haydel of Houma; daughters and 
sons-in-law Lisa H. and Larry Belton of Houma, Jan H. and Criss Layton of The 
Woodlands, Texas and Laura Kay H. and Kent Hebert of Houma; sisters Marie Louise 
Daigneaut and Martha Jane Blank of Houma; grandchildren Shawn Belton, Tracee 
Belton Bennett, Cortney Layton, Kristen Layton and Cameron Hebert; and great-
grandson Zachary Belton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Victorian Haydel Sr. and Louise 
Cunningham Haydel; son Michael Paul Haydel; granddaughter Julie Layton Rountree; 
and sister Rosemary Haydel Bergeron.

He was a retired health careworker with Chabert Medical Center.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
