Peltier, 77 a native and resident of Chackbay, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his wife, Stella Levron Peltier; five sons, Wayne Russell, Burton, Douglas and Randall Peltier; four daughters Mary Lee Peltier; Carolyn Peltier, Deidra Peltier Percle and Ellen Peltier Callahan; two brothers, David and Rodney Peltier; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvine Adams Peltier and Leonard Peltier; three brothers, Norbert, Charles and Joseph Peltier; two sisters, Viola Vedros and Isabella Levron; and one grandson, Matthew Paul Peltier. He was retired from McDermott after 30 years of service and Nicholls State University after 10 years of service. He was member of the Knights of Columbus Cou8ncil No. 8743 in Chackbay. He was a U. S. World War II Army veteran.
