Visitation will be 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Nativity Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his companion, Raenell Badeaux of Gheens; mother, Joyce Arabie Darsey; son Hoythe Savoie of LaComb; daughters Terri LeBoeuf of Houma and Chanda Rivere of Marrero; brothers Kevin and Gary Darsey; sisters Kay Rogers and Cathy Boudreaux of Houma, Lynn Cliburn and Lisa Rivere of Mount Olive, Miss., and Kitti Ledet of Lockport; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Sampey Darsey; and father, Elphey James Darsey. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Church. His hobbies were camping and canoeing. He was a retired boat captain. Donations to the family are preferred. Westside/Leitz-Eagan is in charge of arrangements.
