Velma Chiasson

Velma T. Chiasson, 87, a native of Lockport and resident of Cut Off, died at 
7:10 a.m. Sept. 13, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic 
Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. 
Thursday at the church, with burial at Holy Savior Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons Carroll J. and Richard A. Chiasson; daughter Diana 
C. Hukins; brother, Morgan Adam Theriot; six grandchildren; and four-great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Chiasson; parents, Morgan 
William Theriot and Lylia Barrios Theriot; brother Albert Theriot; and sister 
Ada T. Chiasson.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
