In the days following huricane Katrina a joint Courier/Daily Comet newspaper was 
published using the Comet presses while the New Orleans Times Picayune  was 
published from the Courier presses.

Wilcliff Kiffe

Wilcliff Joseph Kiffe, 86, a native and resident of Grand Isle, died at 5 
a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005.

   Cremation with a memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery 
in Virginia.

   He is survived by three daughters, Alberta K. Hartman, Alriva Kiffe and 
Carrie Lee Kiffe Greco; and 10 grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death by four brothers, Nicholas, Welton, Kilran and Irvin 
Kiffe; and four sisters, Normanda K. Hebert, Ramanda K. Hebert, Lortak Lafont 
and Helena K. Gisclair.

  He was U. S. Army veteran.
