Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie. A memorial prayer service by the Catholic Daughters of America will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the church. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. She is survived by five sons, Edsel Joseph and Van Louis of Vacherie, Paul Gerard of Thibodaux, Leonard Henry of Metairie and Ralph Joseph Aucoin of River Ridge; one daughter, Jeanne Aucoin Hobson of San Diego; two brothers, John Marion and Henry Burch; three sisters, Etheline Burch Pitre, Alice Burch Shefcyk and Beverly Burch Cush; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Felix Louis Aucoin Jr.; her adopted parents, Antoinette Marie Graugnard and Henry Joseph Waguespack; one son, Kenneth Joseph Aucoin; her twin sister, Winona Waguespack Prat; two brothers, Ralph and Maurice Burch; and one sister, Eva Burch Smith. A graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart, she attended Loyola University of New Orleans. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court of St. Philip No. 1504, the Orleans Club and Phi Chi Pi Sorority. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Academy of the Sacred Heart, the Rosary of New Orleans or your favorite charity. Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
