Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the KC Hall in Chauivn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Wilson Joey Portier Jr.; daughters Jane Guidry and Joyce Chauvin; sister Veronica Heiple; six grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cyrus LeCompte; second husband, Wilson Portier Sr.; parents Alphonse and Valerie Pontiff Cadiere; grandson Kerry Guidry; brothers Elmore and Arnold Cadiere; sisters Jeanne Belanger and Blanche Dryden. She was a retired cook for the St. Joseph rectory and Terrebonne Parish School Board. She was later owner and operator of the Triple J. Restaurant in Chauvin. She was a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and the VFW Auxiliary. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
