A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews, with burial at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Joseph Paul and Stephanie Boyd Mayet; daughters Maxie Mayet Robichaux and Dr. Richard E. Robichaux and Jenell Mayet Dill; sister Netti Guidroz Adams; grandchildren Monique Freeman, Celeste Gisclair, Lauren Mayet, Marci Dill and Lindsay Mayet; and great- grandchildren Caroline, Natalie, Madelyne Gisclair, John and Jesse Freeman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin "Butch" Mayet; parents, Theophile and Maguerite Breaux Guidroz; son Alvin J. Mayet Jr.; daughter Kay Ann Mayet; brothers Alba, Burt, Carl, Harold and Kermit Guidroz; and sisters Rowena Guidroz and Theoma G. Levert. She was a former president of the Womens Club of Lockport. She was a schoolteacher, social worker and homemaker. Donations to charity are preferred.
