Hebert, 83, a native of Houma and resident of Chackbay, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by sons Eddie and Daniel Hebert; brothers, Morris and Louis Hebert; grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris C. Hebert; his parents, Sidney Paul and Eva Lecompte Hebert; brothers, Leonce, Rubin, Edgar and Edward Hebert; and sisters Hilda H. Molaison, Alice H. Lefort and Mildred Hebert. He was retired from the Lafourche Parish School Board and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 11 and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
