The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ October 14. 2005 12:35PM Camile Dupre Sr. [Photo] Camile Joseph Dupre Sr., 91, a native of Grand Pass-Theriot and resident of Houma, died at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 13, 2005. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Irene Theriot Dupre of Houma; sons Camile Dupre Jr. and his wife, Betty, and Jerry Dupre and his wife, Charlene, of Houma; daughters Joan Blake and her husband, Charles, Carolyn Teuton and her husband, Jeff, Linda Garibaldi and her husband, Wayne, and Sandra Hebert and her husband, Morris, all of Houma; brother Edville Dupre of Bourg; grandchildren Gwen Dupre Eaton, David Dupre, Daniel Dupre, Diane Dupre Fitzgerald, Darlene Dupre Buquet, Ronda Miller Reilly, Julie Miller Hebert, Christie Miller Simon, Dom Dupre, Terez Dupre LeBlanc, Bridgette Dupre Domangue, Frank Teuton, Margaret Teuton Moss, Carol Teuton Benoit, Joseph Teuton, Dawn Garibaldi Bernard, Barry Garibaldi, Alez Garibaldi, Brian Hebert, John Hebert, Amie Hebert Bice and Andrea Hebert Olivier; 38 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson J. Dupre Sr. and Ella LaCoste Dupre; granddaughter Connie Dupre Mire; brothers Lawrence Dupre, Wilson Dupre Jr., Word Dupre, Elfir Dupre, Sylvester Dupre and Joseph Dupre; and sister Elvida Dupre Champagne. Dupre was owner and founder of Southland Seafood and Market Inc., which he operated for 36 years. He loved the outdoors, especially going to his camp with his family, and enjoyed his customers and working at his seafood mart. He was a loving and devoted husband of 70 years. Most of all, he cherished his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
