Gillis Richard Sr.

Gillis Richard Sr., 84, a native and resident of Labadieville, died Oct. 1, 
2005.

A religious service was held at 11 a.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home, with 
burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Naquin Richard; son Gillis L. Richard Jr.; 
daughter Mary Lou Boudousquie; sister Rosabel Miller; four grandchildren; and 
five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Sr. and Anise Thibodaux Richard; 
and brothers August, Julian, Emile Jr. and Anthony Richard; and sister Bridget 
Adams.

Donations to the American Red Cross are preferred.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
