John Barton						[Photo]

John Joseph Barton, 81, a native of New Castle, Ky., and resident of Houma, died 
at 2:44 p.m. Oct. 4, 2005.

A religious service was held at 11 a.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma, 
with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Barton; sons John Jr., Michael, Jefferey, 
Craig and Todd Barton; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Willetta Downey Barton; and 
sister, Evelyn Beatty.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a pilot of 
Rotor-Aids Helicopter Co. in Grand Isle.

Falgout Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
