Joseph Washington

Joseph Washington, 77, a native of Napoleonville and resident of New 
Orleans, died Sept. 23, 2005, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Visitation will be held Saturday at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in 
Napoleonville from 9 to 11 a.m. A religious service will be held at 11 
a.m. Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Janet B. Washington of New Orleans; sons, 
Joseph Washington Jr. of Thibodaux, Robert Washington of Huntsville, 
Ala., Gary Washington and Reggie Washington of Louisiana; daughters, 
Diana Ausbrooks of Paincourtville, Ethel Lee Boutain of Bertrandville, 
Gale Butler and Andrea Washington of Chicago; brother, Albert Washington 
of Avondale; sisters, Audrey Cola of Oakdale, Calif., Martha Ellis of New 
Orleans, mother-in-law Lena Boudreaux; and a host of nieces, nephews and 
other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Leonard and Pricilla J. 
Washington.
