Joyce Pearce

Joyce Smith Pearce, 61, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and resident of 
Houma, died at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 6, 2005.

Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at 
Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Religious services will be held at the funeral 
home at 10 a.m. Saturday.

She will be cremated.

She is survived by her daughters Angie Dupre and Julie Pearce; and granchildren, 
Faith Boudloche and Hayley Pearce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Sullivan Smith; and 
daughter, Kathy Pearce.

She was actively involved in the Houma/Terrebonne Tourist Commission, the 
American Heart Association and the United Ostomy Association.

In lieu of flowers donations to the family for funeral expenses are preferred.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
