Leona Keys

Leona Keys, 70, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Oct. 3, 2005 at Ochsner 
Medical Foundation.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at New Mount Carmel Baptist Church 
in Labadieville. A Religious service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters Janice Thompson of Labadieville, Brendlyn 
Verrett of Thibodaux and Patricia Taylor of Napoleonville; son, Percy Keys Jr., 
of Napoleonville; sisters Audrey Robertson and Leola Hadley of Thibodaux; 
brothers Rahoula Plant Jr. of Donaldsonville and Elray Plant of New Orleans; 
nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rahoula Plant Sr. and Theola Young 
Gordon; and sons Patrick and Oneal Keys.

She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Thibodaux.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
