Lillian Ponvelle

Lillian Benoit Ponvelle, 73, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Chackbay, 
died at 1:06 a.m. Oct. 18, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic 
Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. 
Thursday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ponvelle Sr.; sons Lloyd Jr. Allen and 
Farrell Ponvelle; daughters Barbara Gilfour and Jeanette Trosclair; brothers 
Wallace, Alex Jr. and Rogers Benoit; sister Lucy Benoit Landry; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alexie J. Sr. and Marie Rodrigue 
Benoit; and brothers Laurance, Junious, Wilson Sr. and Arthur Benoit.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
