The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ October 26. 2005 3:07PM Louis Guidry Louis "Loy" Guidry, 73, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Larose, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2005. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hilda F. Guidry; sons Karl Guidry and wife, Carolyn, and Marlon Guidry; grandchildren Derick, Brooke, Drake, Ross, Keary and Douglas; step-grandchildren Marc and Tracie; great-grandchild Jaylynn; step-great-grandchildren Kaylie, Matthew and Marc Jacob; brothers Earl Guidry, Roland LeBlanc and Benny LeBlanc Jr.; and sisters Janet LeBlanc, Diane Moorman, Mable LeBlanc and Sandra Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Leah Rogers Guidry LeBlanc; brothers Douglas "Bick" Guidry, Albert "Chine" Guidry, Claude "Doo" Guidry and Robert LeBlanc; and sister Dolores Guidry. He was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was an army veteran of the Korean War and earned a Purple Heart. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed camping, woodworking and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a retired tugboat captain with Tidewater Marine. Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
