Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Eloi Cemetery in Dularge. She is survived by her son Ronald Ayo of Lafayette; daughters Garnet Glynn, Tammy Ayo Cenac and Wendy Thibodeaux, all of Houma; brother Edward Mire of Marrero; sister Ann Naquin of Thibodaux; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Verret; and parents, Roland and Helena Peltier Mire. She was a telephone operator with Your Answering Service. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
