Salvin Sampey

Salvin John Sampey, 65, a native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, died Oct. 
5, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Hilary of Poiters Catholic 
Church in Mathews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. 
Saturday at the church, with burial at Resurrection Memorial Park in Raceland.

He is survived by his wife Rose Billiot Sampey; son Ryan Sampey; daughters 
Cynthia Boudreaux and Kelly Babineaux; brother Virgil Sampey; sisters Earline 
and Katie Theriot, Manuella Adams and Dolly Anderson; six grandchildren; and two 
step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elvans and Lorita Dufrene Sampey.

He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poiters Catholic Church, a U.S. Army 
veteran and a member American Legion Post 349 of Raceland and St. Hilary Knights 
of Columbus.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
