Sandy Oubre						[Photo]

Sandy "Bayou" Oubre, 40, a native of Vacherie and resident of Chackbay, died at 
5 a.m. Oct. 20, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. A religious 
service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial 
at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Chackbay.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gros Oubre; parents, Beverly Hotard Knight, 
John Jr. "Catfish" and Patsy Oubre; son Lance Gros; daughters Amber and Danielle 
Oubre and Shelly Bergeron; brothers and sisters-in-law, Faron and Selma 
"Cheewee" Oubre, Johnny and Scotty Oubre; sisters and brothers-in-law Faith and 
David Plaisance, Tessa and Antiona "Moon" Hymel; grandchildren Bailey Bergeron 
and Jacob Sykes; and 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Earline Hotard, John 
Sr. and Lelia Oubre.

Pallbearers will be Chirstopher "Tatoo" Klibert, Gary Hebert, Travis Plaisance, 
Chad Gros, Brandon Lassere and Paul Oubre. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry 
Oubre and Daniel Sanchez.

He loved deer hunting and working as a carpenter.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
