Charles Williams

Charles "Charlie" Williams, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Davis Mortuary in Marrero, with 
burial in New Hope Cemetery in Gretna.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Mae Robertson Williams; eight children, 
Charlie Williams, Constance Hills, Janice Ray, Charlene Davis, Darlene Williams, 
Leslie Williams, Travis Williams and Elbert Ford; five siblings, Saddie 
Williams, Audrey Williams, Henry Chaptman, Emmette Lewis and Gilmore Chaptman; 
five step-children; 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-
law, three sisters-in-law; one son-in-law; and numerous relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Williams and Lilly Cooks; one 
daughter, Kathy Johnson; and four siblings, Nolan Williams, Johnny Chaptman, 
Aradean Allen and Virginia Williams.
