"Tip" Bourgeois, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 5 a.m. Nov. 11, 2005. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Gene and Patricia Bourgeois of Lockport and Royce and Charlotte Bourgeois of Houma; daughter and son-in-law Brenda B. and Ira Bascle of Lockport; daughter-in-law Debra B. Bourgeois of Terrytown; son-in-law Henry Cancienne of Lockport; sister Lucy B. Galliano; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Maude Allemand Bourgeois; parents, Taylor and Marie Hebert Bourgeois; son Dr. Wayne J. Bourgeois; daughter, Barbara B. Cancienne; brother Fernand Bourgeois; and sisters Beulah Bourgeois and Marie B. Rogers. He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church. His greatest joy was spending time with family and was always very proud of them. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing, LSU and sports. Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport is in charge of arrangements.
