Frances Folse						[Photo]

Frances "Big Ma" Folse, 78, a native of Raceland and resident of Thibodaux, died 
November 4, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Third Zion Baptist Church in 
Raceland. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with 
burial at Young Men's Benevolent Society Cemetery at Lafourche Crossing.

She is survived by her daughters Stella Triggs, Dorothy Browder, Barbara Lee, 
and Cheryl Jones, all of Thibodaux; son Clarence Folse Sr., of Thibodaux; 
sisters Eldora Thomas, Olivia Triggs, Beatrice Joseph, and Gertie Walker all of 
Thibodaux; brothers Early Thomas, Eddie Thomas, and Clarence Thomas all of 
Thibodaux; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelin Folse; parents, Ben Sr. and 
Stella Thomas; brothers Ben Thomas Jr., and Wilbert Thomas; and grandsons 
Vontrell and Clarence Folse Jr.

She was a member of Third Zion Baptist Church and was former President of Usher 
Board No. 1. She enjoyed cooking, baking and shopping.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
