Gary L. Jackson, 60, a native of Krum, Texas, and resident of Raceland, died 
Nov. 27, 2005.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Krum Jackson Cemetery 
in Krum. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Raceland.

He is survived by his son Joe R. Crandall; daughters Julie M. Cortez and Betsy 
M. Ellison; brothers Billy and Elmer Jackson; six grandchildren; and one great-
grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Paul and Mae Greene Jackson; 
brothers David Paul Jackson Jr. and Donald Jerry Jackson; and sister Dionita 
Jackson.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Model 
Association and enjoyed flying and building model airplanes.

He was a specialist for McDonald.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
