Josephine Manuel

Josephine Manuel, 77, a native and resident of New Orleans died Oct. 31, 2005.

A religious service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kennedy Funeral Home in 
Raceland. Burial will be at Rest Lawn Cemetery in Avondale.

She is survived by a daughter JoAnn Fleming of New Orleans; son Fredrick Manuel 
of Austin, Texas; brother Sherman Washington Jr. of Boutte; sisters Thelma Young 
of Thibodaux and Leola Griffin of Los Angeles; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Freddie Williams; second 
husband, Benjamin Manuel; parents, Sherman Sr., and Hattie Washington; son 
Freddie Williams Jr.; five daughters; four brothers; and three sisters.

She was Baptist.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
