Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his son Linton Duet Jr.; daughters Gail Brudnock, Laura Bruce and Bonnie Guidry; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Smith Duet; parents, Absalom and Frozie Duet; brother Stanley Duet; and granddaughter Raquel Guidry. He was a warden master in the U.S. Army. He served in World War II. He was a Belleamie Volunteer Fire Department life member and treasurer and member of Lafitte Barataria Crown Point Volunteer Fire Department. He was an American Legion life member of Post 315 and former member of the Cut Off Lions Club. He was the former owner of L.A. Duet Grocery. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
