Lloyd Anderson "Andy" Foreman, 79, a native of Kaplan and resident of Lockport, died at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 2005. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial United Methodist Church. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. He is survived by his wife, the Rev. Peggy Foreman; sons, Douglas and Jared Foreman of Lockport; daughters Pamela F. Testroet and Erin Duplantis of Houma; sons- and daughter-in-law, Bill, Darnell, Chuck and Meredith; mother-in-law, Tootsie Barrios; brother-in-law, Richard Barrios; several nieces and nephews, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edva and Victoria Foreman; and brother, Ed Foreman. He was a graduate of Centenary College, Emory University, Temple University and Boston University. He was a dedicated ordained United Methodist minister for 53 years serving churches in Massachusetts, Nebraska and Louisiana. For years he served as an appointed evangelist of the United Methodist Church. He was a civil rights activist and played a very important role in the integration of the New Orleans Public School System in 1960. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
