Marie Oubre

Marie Ophelia Oubre, 91, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 1, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in 
Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at 
the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Mervin Sr., William, Freddie and Russell Oubre; 
daughter Mary Ann Percle; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and eight 
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Oubre; parents, Florian Rome 
Sr. and Aurore Dempster; son Jerry Oubre Sr.; brothers Florian Jr., John and 
Nelson Rome; and sisters Palmire Ockmond and Anna Marie Falgoust.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
