Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at La Chapelle de Martin and Castille in Lafayette. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Doucet Sr. of Lafayette; sons John A."Butch" Doucet, Jr., Irving F. Doucet and Glen P. Doucet and his wife, Ann; grandson Paul Doucet; and sisters Iola Broussard, Viola Holland and Neola Chatman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Editha Bandeau Monceaux; son Gerald Thomas Doucet; sisters Agnes Golden, Donatile Lopez and Enola LeJeune; and brother, Jacob Monceaux. A native of Iberia Parish and a former resident of Thibodaux, she lived in the Grosse Tete, area during the last years of her life. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Community. She was very active in school with her children and assisted in Cub Scouts, Boys Scouts and their many activities.
