Acosta, 84, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died Nov. 6, 2004. Visitation will be 8:30 to noon Wednesday at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Acosta; daughters and son-in-law, Coddie Campbell, Sherry and Ronnie Delcambre; brothers, Pierre Richard and Euclid Hernandez; sister Martha Landry; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Desire and Cordelia Cavalier Richard; brothers Dorphy Acosta and Walter Acosta Sr.; sisters Delta Hernandez, Olphida "Tatoon" Arcement, Agnes Cedotal and Annie Bourg; daughter Deanna "Dee" Bonvillain; and son-in-law Joseph E.
