Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Dosha Holden Voiron; former wife of 46 years Loretta Rodrigue Voiron of Thibodaux; sons Paul Polo" J. Voiron Jr. of Bayou Gauche and Gary and wife Gina Freche Voiron of Myrtle Grove; daughters and sons-in-law Vicky V. and Dennis Hebert Jr. of Thibodaux, Melisa V. Duet of Thibodaux; brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis Voiron Sr. and Diane Landry Voiron of Belle Rose; stepchildren and their spouses, Bronson Guidry of Thibodaux, Timmy and Gina Guidry of Baton Rouge, Travis and Muriel Guidry of Thibodaux and Thorne Smither; grandchildren Derek, Scott and Brian Hebert, Ashlyn Loupe and Drake Voiron, Lauren, Ellen and Lane Voiron, Garet and Amanda Duet; stepgrandchildren Rhys Chiasson and Madison Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents Louise Polite Voiron and Eugene Voiron Sr.; brothers Eugene "Gene" Jr., Joe and Edward Voiron; and step-grandchild, Bryson Guidry. Paul was a lifelong "real life" cowboy. He was raised on a dairy farm in Westwego. His first job when he left home as a teenager was on a dairy farm in Franklinton. He was then employed for 40 years at Voiron's Stockyard which was owned and operated by his older brother, Gene. He dedicated his whole life, until he became ill with lung cancer, to the love of his life, cattle. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
