Alzina Pitre

Alzina "LaSur" Guidry Pitre, 78, a native and resident of Galliano, died at 2:30 
a.m. April 18, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic 
Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 
a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

She is survived by her husband, Dumas "John" Pitre; sons, David, Ronald and Alan 
Pitre; daughters, Gail Griffin, Jeannie Cheramie and Patty Cheramie; brothers, 
Robinson and James Guidry; sisters, Nita Plaisance, Doris Stewart, Lolita 
Chouest and Ruth Lagarde; 11 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren; and one great-step-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samson and Alexina Cheramie Guidry; an 
infant son; brothers, Herman, Morrison, Rogers, Robert and Samson Guidry; and 
three great-grandchildren.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. She enjoyed 
her family and friends, gardening and being of service to others.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
