Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Everlasting Life Baptist Church in Norman, Okla. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori Harper and Raymos McMillon of Gulfport, Miss., LaSaundra and William Norman of Norman; grandchildren, Marcus Harper and Justin Harper, Gulfport and Taylor and Dominique Norman of Norman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alex and Mary Lee Taylor of Raceland, James and Odessa Taylor of Lancaster, Calif.; sisters, Elsie Washington of Oklahoma City and Annie Mae Breaux of Weatherford, Okla.; son-in- law and his wife, Gary and Karla Harper, Savannah, Ga.; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other dear relatives and friends. Her parents, Vincent and Lula Taylor and a sister, Shirley Hayes, preceded her in death. She graduated from Persia High School in Monroe, and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge. She later attained a bachelor's degree in education and master's degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. As a retired teacher was a member of the Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa Sorority, Inc. and the Oklahoma Association of Retired Teachers. She was a faithful member of Everlasting Life Baptist Church in Norman, OK, where she served in the Sick and Shut-In ministry and the AWANA children's ministry.
