Hubert Lirette Sr., 81, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Bayou Blue, died 
at 3:10 p.m. April 20, 2005.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 
to 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the church 
with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Landry Lirette; sons, Terry Lirette and his 
wife, Miranda, Hubert Lirette Jr. and his wife, Kathleen; daughters, Linda 
Cortez and her husband, Clifford and Audrey Caldwell and her husband, Rowland; 
brothers, Ashby, Jerry and Larry Lirette; sisters, Ruby Landry, Vivian Tabor, 
Jenny Chaisson and Theresa Boudreaux; seven grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edia Breaux Lirette; 
daughter, Lois Lirette; brother, Allen Lirette; and sister, Edia Lirette.

Thibodaux Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
