Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux and 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at St. John Episcopal Cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his sons, John Michael, Crosby Gaar and Hunter Louis Richardson; daughters, Martha Evelyn South and Mary Sue R. Lyle; brother, Robert Riley Richardson; grandchildren, Rachel South Boquet, Sarah Lyle Smithson, Matthew Richardson South, Hunter Edward South, James Logan Lyle, Katherine Richardson Stern, Amie Victoria Richardson, Cassie Michelle Richardson, Jack Austin Richardson, Patrick Crosby Richardson, Hunter Cummings Richardson; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Caroline Smithson and Collin Richardson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Garr Richardson; parents, Edward Everette Richardson and Mathilde Virginie Chaisson Richardson; and brother, E.E. Richardson Jr. He was a U.S. Marine and served as a veteran of the Korean War. He was very active in the Masonic Lodge and the First United Methodist Church of Thibodaux. Donations to First United Methodist Church of Thibodaux are preferred. Landry's Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
