Medora Himel						[Photo]

Medora Hidalgo Himel, 95, a native of Labadieville and resident of Thibodaux, 
died at 5 p.m. March 26, 2005.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated March 30 at Christ the Redeemer 
Catholic Church, with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Junius P. and Debbie Dauzat 
Himel; daughters and sons-in-law, Doris H. and Claude "C.J." Ledet, Hazel H. and 
Berthon Aucoin, Stella H. Montet, Love H. and Donald Thibodaux, Medora H. and 
Douglas Hebert; brother, Joseph Hidalgo; sisters, Uranie Sonier, Agatha Martinez 
and Rita Billelo; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five step-great-
grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Joseph Himel; parents, Paul 
David and Estelle Hidalgo; great-grandson, Andre' Boudreaux; brothers, Alcide, 
Paul Hypolite and Alcee Hidalgo; sister, Estella Boudreaux; and two infant 
sisters.

She was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.

Samart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
