Nerman Matherne

Nerman J. "Pete" Matherne, 84, a native of Gheens and resident of Larose, died 
at 1 p.m. April 16, 2005.

Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at 
Christian Fellowship Church in Larose.

A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial 
at Mennonite Cemetery in Des Allemands.

He is survived by his daughters, Janet, Linda and Bonnie Dufrene; brothers, 
Vorman and Johnny Matherne; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two 
great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae M. Matherne; parents, Joseph 
Matherne and Mercedes Schouest; grandchildren, Marilyn Dufrene and Vincent 
Dufrene Jr.; and sisters, Vivian Comardelle, Mabel Hogan, Nora Abadie and Emma 
Falcon.

Samart Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
