Ruth Richard

Ruth Ledet Richard, 77, a native of Larose and resident of Cut Off, died at 6 
p.m. April 19, 2005.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in 
Larose. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with 
burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Huey Richard Sr.; sons, Huey Jr. and Anthony 
Richard; daughters, Faith Richard Lefort, Mary Richard, Celia Richard Cheramie, 
Stephanie Richard Cantrelle and Michelle Richard Uzee; brother, Wade Ledet; and 
sisters, Emelda St. Pierre and Melvina Hunter; 14 grandchildren; and three 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Eliza Guidry Ledet; son, 
Gordon James Richard; brothers, Dudley, Anthony and Peter Ledet Sr.

She loved to garden, travel and be with her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
