Virgie Himel

Virgie Himel, 84, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 6:25 a.m. April 4, 
2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church 
in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday 
at the church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her sons, Earl and Warren Himel; daughters, Gloria Legendre 
and Dianne Benoit; brother, Nolan Benoit; six grandchildren; and eight great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neville Himel; parents, Orestile and 
Leonie Thibodaux Benoit; brothers, Jessie, Norman and Roy Benoit; and sisters, 
Verine Tabor and Essie Thibodaux.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
