Albertine Benoit

Albertine Clement Benoit, 82, a native of Grand Caillou and resident of Chauvin, 
died at 10:40 p.m. Feb. 19, 2005.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Knights 
of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 
a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Benedict Benoit of Houma, Joey Benoit of Petal, 
Miss., Essie "E.J." Benoit Jr. of Chauvin; daughters, Betty Prosperie and Judy 
McClure of Houma; brother, Roland Clement of Montegut; sisters, Annie Trahan of 
Chauvin and Shirley Savoie of Houma; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 
and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Essie Benoit Sr.; parents, Adrian and 
Mathilda Scott Clement; son, Alvin Benoit; daughter, Heddy Benoit; brothers, 
Raymond Clement and Albert Clement; sisters, Evenolia Domangue; and great-
grandchild, Natasha Guidry.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin and resident of The Oaks of Houma.

Donations for funeral expenses are preferred.
