Alvin Savoie

Alvin "The Bike Man" Savoie, 81, a native of Larose and resident of Thibodaux, 
died Feb. 2, 2005.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic 
Church in Larose.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at the church, 
with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his son, John Thibodaux; brothers, Ernest Sr. and Larry 
Savoie; sisters, Agnes Savoie Guidry, Annie Savoie Cheramie and Louise Savoie 
Adams; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Holder Savoie; second wife, 
Rose Boudreaux Savoie; parents, Arsene and Marie Hebert Savoie; daughters, 
Suzanne Savoie Gaubert; brothers, Clarence, Joseph, Edward, John and Claude 
Savoie; and sister, Emily Savoie Lambas.

He was an Army veteran of World War II who repaired bicycles as a hobby.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
