Audrey Charles

Audrey M. Charles, 72, a native and resident of Labadieville, died Feb. 17, 
2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Morning Star Baptist Church on Brule 
Road in Thibodaux. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with burial at 
the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sisters, Evelyn C. Marshall and Gloria C. Williams; 
sister-in-law, Leotha V. Charles; niece, Edwina C. McCray; nephews, Edwin 
Charles III, James E. Marshall Jr. and Norris Lee Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin "Foots" and Elnora "Minnie" 
Charles; brother, Edwin Charles Jr.; and nephew, Arvel C. Marshall.

She was a retired schoolteacher who dedicated 40 years of service to the 
Assumption Parish School Board at the Labadieville Primary School, formerly New 
Belmont Elementary School.
