Daniel Martinez Sr.

Daniel A. Martinez Sr., 77, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 4:14 p.m. 
Feb. 19, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church 
in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at 
the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lolita Waguespack Martinez; son, Daniel Martinez 
Jr.; daughters, Laura St. Pe', Cynthia St. Pierre and Debra Aucoin; brothers, 
Elmo, Raynal, Roy and Jerry Martinez; sister, Nanette Huber; 12 grandchildren; 
two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three step-great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Loreanna Terrebonne 
Martinez; and brother, Gabriel Martinez.

He was a fireman first class on a battleship in the U.S. Navy during World War 
II.
