Gernice Bruce

Gernice "Ger" Dufrene Bruce, 88, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, 
died at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 20, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 
Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald, Gary and Michael Bruce; brothers, Herman, 
Harris and Harvey Dufrene; sister, Peggy Charpentier; seven grandchildren; and 
six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Felix Bruce; parents, Orest and 
Alcida Autin Dufrene; granddaughter, Cathy Bruce; brothers, Howell and Henry 
Dufrene.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of the 
Catholic Daughters of America, Legion of Mary and Ladies Altar Society of the 
St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
