Guidry, 83, a native of Harvey and resident of Cut Off, died at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 21, 2005. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. A visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A religious service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with military rites to follow at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Ouida Lasseigne Guidry; son, Anthony and daughter- in-law, Deidra and their children, Al and Tony Guidry; daughter, Kay and son-in- law Hank Kiff; granddaughter, Jami Rose Guidry; great-grandchild, Isabella Rose Cheramie; daughter-in-law, Rose N. Guidry; and her children, Matthrew and Krystal Naquin; brother, Logan Guidry; sister, Joyce Danos; and godchildren, Ruth F. Badeaux and Carolyn G. Bruce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond V. and Antoinette Federine Guidry; and son, James B. Guidry. He was a mason for more than 50 years. He was a volunteer firefighter and the first fire chief of Bel Ami Fire Station in Cut Off. He was a Woodman of the World member for more than 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II and received several awards and medals including Sharp Shooter, Good Conduct, Victory Medal, Purple Heart and many others.
