Hester Philip

Hester Lee Golden Philip, 64, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Vacherie, 
died Feb. 6, 2005.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church 
in Labadieville. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Des Williams of Thibodaux; son, Elderic Philip 
of Vacherie; mother, Harriet Golden of Thibodaux; sister, Lula Golden of 
Thibodaux; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Philip; father, Luther Golden 
Sr.; brothers, Van Cheatham and Luther Golden Jr.; and granddaughter, Ariel 
Profit.

She was Baptist.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
